What inspired this artwork?
This piece was inspired by a custom request from a friend ho shared a reference pin of Hevajra. Drawing from traditional Tibetan Thangka iconography, the design reimagines Goddess Kali through a conceptual ad psychological lens.
What does the artwork represent?
It captures the internal struggle of raw power, self-mastery and balance. In this narrative, Kali becomes so consumed by rage while eradicating evil that she risks losing self control. She steps on Shiva to ground herself and stop the momentum of her anger. As she calms, she embraces a peaceful version of herself, symbolizing self-control, self-acceptance and transforming intense emotion into strength rather than suppresing it.
What makes it unique?
It is a rare cross-cultural artistic fusion that merges Hindu deity symbolism with Tibetan Thangka aesthetic geometry and storyelling. Unlike typical depiction of Kali, this piece focuses on her internal transformation and the emmbrace of her own inner peace amidst fury.
