Frida, through our lens.
Some people don't just make art. They become art. And Frida Kahlo was one of them.
What we love about Frida is that she never tried to fit into someone else's idea of who she should be. She wore het identity unapologetically, turned her pain into expression and made her imperfections part of her power. She was bold, vulnerable, eccentric and beautifully unapologetically herself.
With this piece, we wanted imagine Frida through an Indian lens. We brought together vibrant textiles, colours that tell their own stories and cultural elements that feel close to home, creating a little meeting point between two worlds that celebrate individuality in their own beautiful ways.
It wasn't about changing Frida. It was about finding a little bit of her in us and a little bit of us in her.
Because honestly, how many of us spend years trying to fit in, toning ourselves down or hiding the very things that make us different? Frida reminds us that our stories, our roots, our scars and even our weird little quirks deserves to be seen. And that's what we want this part to feel like. More than an illustration, it's a reminder to own every part of yourself. To carry your culture with pride, wear your individuality like a crown and never feel the need to make yourself smaller to belong.
A little Frida, a little India and a whole lot of unapologetically being yourself.
Wear your story. Own your roots. Be your own kind of master.
